[copy] => My career started 1985 with TVNZ at the Avalon television studios in Wellington where I trained as a film editor cutting 16mm film on a Steenbeck. I worked on programs such as Country Calendar, Radio with Pictures and Fair Go.
In 1991 I left TVNZ to become a freelance post production editor based in Auckland. Avid Media Composer had just been released onto the market and I was an early adopter of nonlinear editing. I have worked on a diverse range of formats from broadcast news through to corporate, lifestyle, magazine, light entertainment, reality and documentary. I have also been lucky to have worked on number of Te Reo productions. Recently I have been editing content specifically for delivery to the web and mobile phone. The shows that I have edited have been broadcast on MTS, TVNZ, TV3 and Sky in New Zealand and on Discoveries Animal Planet Channel in the USA.
I am skilled in both Avid Media Composer and Apple Final Cut Pro Studio 3. Working either as an offline or online ediitor in both SD and HD. I can complete your production for broadcast or encode for delivery to the web, HD Blue Ray DVD and SD DVD.
I can be hired as an editor with an edit suite or as a freelance editor, (Labour only).
Five years ago I made the move into directing with a pitch for a documentary called "Catastrophic Collisions". This then evolved into "The survivor Files," a ten part series, which screened on TV One.I was involved in developing the look of the show and directed X2 of the 10 part series.
