[copy] => From the busy streets of New York, to the top of pyramids and the steamy jungles of Central Africa. I enjoy what I do and the stories I help tell. I am interested in what people have to say , either directly through interview, or indirectly as seen through the eyes of the director and camera operator.
My background as a studio and live music engineer saw me working with the NZSO, Neil Finn, Che Fu, Shihad and Killing Joke, to name but a few. I have mixed live acts in everything from 30,000 seat stadiums to raucous pubs. I began my work in the field when I was sent to travel the Pacific and record Log Drummers playing in caves and Island Choirs singing songs almost lost to time, in beautiful thatch roofed churches . I was accompanied by a filmmaker who thought what we were doing would make an interesting documentary. It was then I got exposed to the medium of film and television as a creative outlet for my technical skills, so I left the world of musical story telling to tell stories in a different way. With Sound and Pictures.
Some stories have been better than others, and some just flights of fancy. To date I have worked on reality television, documentary, drama, sports events, commercials, corporate videos, music videos, live and studio acts and a few things that just fall somewhere in-between.
I enjoy working in a team environment, with a positive attitude and a sense of humour that truly needs to be experienced.
